Born out of a rugged

corn-fed individuality this

operation's history is a yarn

that highlights the inherent

connections b'tween art,

experience, and business.

The product, while ultimately important, does

not trump all other aspects of

the experience. Standing in the

rain-water splashing on our bare

feet and extension cords while

the sharp hiss of the

nail gun makes you question the

posterity of yr toes. And that

concern imbues the product

with a soul-

fulness a richness and depth

that sterile and industrial processes

do not. The challenge of hand-loading

TONS of machinery onto a truck

destined to traverse a rutty and muddy road

through the Northern California old-

growth seasons that machinery

With a passion not found on

the computer

or the corporation. As you

see, at every turn Emprint has en-

dured trials and labours of love.

The prints made are not merely the

result of ink and machinery but

the product of EM's commitment

to experience each project (and in

fact the entire business) in exploration

of art and living as sustenance.

That is why the story of Emprint

is special.
